This area is known as "The Valley of the Giants" due to the towering cardon cacti that inhabit it. These cacti, belonging to the cactus family, reach impressive heights of up to 17 meters, resembling large trees in the midst of the desert. You can explore the area by car, stopping at the areas that catch your eye along the way. Birdwatchers will also have a treat, as woodpeckers are commonly spotted in the vicinity.

With over 1,200 cacti concentrated in the reserve, it offers a captivating sight for visitors. To reach this natural wonder, head to Rancho Punta Estrella. Alternatively, guided tours are available for those seeking a more informative experience.
